Money.net Financial Community Launches -- The Nets First Free Real-Time Portfolio Tracker
Monday, October 4th, 1999 11:20 AM Eastern Time
The company hopes to differentiate www.money.net from other online personal finance services by offering free real-time stock portfolios that allow users to create fantasy equity funds. Users can then track the fantasy funds' performance, using technology and applications from Thomson Financial.
In addition, the site will provide business news through Reuters and real-time stock quotes through Stockpoint.com. President and Chief Executive Harold Van Arnem IV said Money.net is in the midst of closing its first round of financing for the site, and noted that C. Blair Asset Management is one of the company's primary investors.
