NEW YORK, NY -- (INTERNETWIRE) -- 10/06/99 -- Money.net (http://www.money.net), a new online financial news, information and community has launched, exclusively offering free real-time stock portfolios on the Internet. Money.net has secured financing from C. Blair Asset Management, managed by Chris Blair, former manager of the Morgan Stanley Asset Management Technology Fund. Other strategic alliances include agreements with DigiTrade, a division of Thomson Financial (portfolio technology and applications), Delphi (community), Stockpoint (ticker data), Reuters (real-time news), Real Media (advertising).

Money.net is the only online news and information service to provide real-time portfolio functionality without a proprietary investor relationship or initial charges. Money.net's services are designed to provide users with the tools that will make them smarter as they make decisions about their personal finances.

Among the specialized information available at money.net: up-to-the-minute market information, original personal finance articles, interviews with financial professionals, market indices, historical charts, earnings forecasts and reports, market analysis and commentary, fundamental company data, company profiles, and sector news. Technical indicators can be added to the Java charts for comparative purposes without refreshing the chart or the web page, making it an invaluable tool to investors.

"With technological convergence and the new global economy, Money.net offers everyone access to the tools required to manage a real-time 24 hour financial news and trading cycle," says Money.net president and CEO Harold Van Arnem IV, a former executive with DoubleClick and CyberGate http://www.gate.net.
