Among the sites included in the co-branding deals are the National Review Online, the Web site of America's Conservative Magazine, Onvia.com, a leading destination for small business owners, Infonatutics Corporation's site Companysleuth.com (Nasdaq: INFO), a leading finance site that scours the Internet for free legal information on selected companies, Bizee.com, a global business portal, Megamedia Network's site Megachannels.com, an internet streaming media company, USLaw.com a legal information services site for individuals and small businesses, football.com, a sports site, The Crimson.com, site of the Harvard University newspaper, and foofoo.com, a shopping destination.
Money.net is the only online news and information service to provide real-time portfolio tracking for free via the Internet without a proprietary investor relationship. "We are very pleased to be partnering with these 60 sites," says money.net CEO Harold Van Arnem. "By working with such a wide variety of Web sites, money.net will reach a whole new audience. People who have never followed the stock market and those who don't make it a priority when using the Internet, will now be able to get the most up-to-date information without leaving their favorite site."
Among the specialized information available at money.net: up-to-the-minute market information, original personal finance articles, interviews with financial professionals, market indices, historical charts, earnings forecasts and reports, market analysis and commentary, fundamental company data, company profiles, and sector news. Users can also access weather, general, sports and entertainment news.
Users have access to interactive Java charts and a customizable stock ticker at money.net. The Java charts allow users to zoom in on date ranges by clicking and dragging within chart. Technical indicators can be added to the Java charts for comparative purposes without refreshing the chart or the Web page, making it an invaluable tool to investors.
In the near future, money.net will provide users with e-commerce features including banking and trading. Within those areas, users will be able to trade stocks, pay bills, secure mortgages and credit cards, and purchase insurance policies.
Headquartered in New York City, money.net is privately held.
